Candlebox is a Grunge band who rose to fame via their hit album, Candlebox (album).

About
Candlebox was formed at Seattle, Washington in 1991 by Kevin Martin who hails from Elgin, Illinois and Scott Mercado. They were originally called Uncle Duke. They recruited Peter Klett for guitar and Bordi Martin for bass. After completing their line up, they changed their name to Candlebox.
The group had signed a recording contract under Madonna's label, Maverick Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1993. Following year, they released their second album, Lucy. In 1997, Scott left the group and replaced by Dave Krusen. Their third album, Happy Pills was released in 1998. The group is currently recording their new album, which is due to be released before the end of 2007.
