About
Camera Obscura was formed in 1996 by "by Tracyanne Campbell", "John Henderson", and "Gavin Dunbar". Their first two singles, "Park and Ride" and "Your Sound" was released in 1998. After a year, they issued their first EP, The Rare UK Bird. Their debut album, Biggest Bluest Hi Fi was released in 2001. In September 2003, their next album, Underachievers Please Try Harder was released. John left the band in 2004. Their latest album, Let's Get Out of This Country was released in 2005 under Merge Records. The album landed at #27 on Top Heatseekers and #37 on Top Independed Albums Chart. It features the single, "Are You Ready to Be Heartbroken?".
