Bruce Springsteen is an American Rock singer-songwriter and guitarist, who rose to fame when he released his most successful album, Born in the U.S.A..

Bruce Springsteen was born on September 23, 1949 at Freehold, New Jersey to Douglas Springsteen and Adele Springsteen. His father was a bus driver of Dutch while his mother was a legal secretary of Italian descent. He studied in St. Rose of Lima Parochial School, a well-know Catholic School at Freehold Borough. He was not comfortable at the school so he transferred in Freehold Borough High School.
He was a dropped out student of Ocean County Community College. He was influenced by Elvis Presley when he saw Elvis at Ed Sulliven Show at the age of seven. He studied guitar lesson when he was 16 years old.
In 1969, he started performing in New Jersey until 1971 with, Van Zandt, Danny Federici and Vini Lopez, a band name Child. They performed in some part of the U.S.
In 1972, as a solo performer, he signed a recording contract under Columbia Records. He released his debut album, Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. in 1973. In later part of 197e, he released his second album, The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle but it was not a successful album. Then a follow-up album, Born To Run was released. He made more albums, which was only a minor hit.
In 1982, he released his solo acoustic album, Nebraska. It is only a minor hit but it a well acclaimed album, it was name by Rolling Stone Magazine as Album of The Year.
In 1984, it was his milestone came when he released his most successful album, Born in the U.S.A. which sold more than 15 million copies in the United States Alone. It was one of the best-selling albums of all time with seven hit singles reaching the Billboard Charts Top 10. His most successful single from this album is Dancing in The Dark reached number 2 at the Billboard charts
In 1987, he released his album, Tunnel of Love. He released this album after his separation with his former wife Julianne Phillips. In 1994, his song, Streets of Philadelphia won an Academy Award which appeared in the soundtrack of the movie, Philadelphia which is an award-movie of the award-winning actor Tom Hanks.
Bruce released more albums with his band called, E Street Band. In 2006, he released his latest album, We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions. Bruce won 15 Grammy Awards.
