British Sea Power are Indie Rock Band who rose to fame via their album, Do You Like Rock Music?.

British Sea Power was formed in 2000 at Brighton, England. The band comprised of "Scott Wilkinson" on vocals and guitar, "Martin Noble" on guitar, piano and keyboards, "Neil Wilkinson" on bass, vocals and guitars and "Matthew Wood" on drums. Scott and wood were childhood friends. They joined several bands together. However, after their exam, Scott transfered in Reading University. From their, the three decided to formed a band which later on joined by Neil and Matthew.


Their debut single, "Fear of Drowning" was released in 2001 under their own label called, "Golden Chariot Label". Their debut album, The Decline of British Sea Power was released in June 2003. It features the singles, "Carrion" and "Fear of Drowning". Their next album, Open Season was released in April 2005 which chartered at #13 on The UK Albums Chart. The album features the singles, "It Ended on an Oily Stage" which chartered at #18 on The UK Singles Chart and "Please Stand Up" which landed at #34 on The UK Singles Chart. Their latest album, Do You Like Rock Music? was released in January 2008. It reached at #10 on UK Albums Chart.
