He joined the band Westlife as Bryan McFadden, through an audition held in Dublin with fellow Westlife member, Nicky Byrne. But left the band on March 9, 2004 in order to spend more time with his family. He reverted back to his real name sa Brian as soon as he became a solo artist.
Brian was married with Atomic Kitten member, Kerry Katona on January 5, 2002 and they have two daughters namely, Molly Marie and Lilly Sue (born on August 31, 2001 and February 3, 2003, respectively).
