Singer Brandy was among the biggest and brightest R&B stars to emerge during the 1990's. Her first attracting attention came when she was singing with her area youth groups and move on to her acting career where she co-starred in the short-lived sitcom Thea.

About
Born on February 11, 1979, in real life Brandy Rayana Norwood is an American singer and actress. Her father being a pastor played a major role in her musical career where at the age of 2 she started singing at their local church. Eventually, Brandy grew up as a fan of Whitney Houston and influenced her to become a singer.
At 9, their family moved to California where she began singing in local talent shows in 1990. At 11, she sang as backup singer with two local band groups - Norment and Immature.
Her break came on 1994 when she was 14, this was the time where she land a record deal with Atlantic and on that same year released her first self-titled ablum Brandy reaching gold status in less than two months. Since then Brandy had reaped almost every award an artist dreams of having including Grammy Awards, California Music Award, MTV Music Awards among others.
