About

Brandi Carlile was released on July 12, 2005 under Red Ink/Columbia Records. There are 10 very diverse tracks in the album, and favorites include "Throw It All Away," "Fall Apart Again," and the acoustics "Gone" and "Tragedy." Brandi says some songs in the album were recorded in her home in Washington.

Three of the songs from this album were featured in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. These are "Tragedy," "What Can I Say," and "Throw It All Away." This definitely gave Brandi Carlile a chance at being exposed to a wider audience.

In June of 2006, the album was reissued, featuring a new recording of "Throw It All Away" and a radio edit of "What Can I Say." The two bonus tracks included were a live performance of Elton John/Bernie Taupin's "Sixty Years On" and an Austin cello version of "Tragedy."
