Boogie Down Productions is an American Hip-Hop group who rose to fame via their debut album, Criminal Minded.

About
Boogie Down Productions was formed in the 80's consisting of KRS-One, D Nice and DJ Scott La Rock.
The band's first single, "Crack Attack" was released in 1986. They released their debut album, Criminal Minded in 1987. After the released of their album, DJ Scott was shot dead while trying to break up an argument at a party in the Bronx.
The two remaining members decided to continue the group as a tribute to their loss friend. KRS recruited his younger brother, Kenny Parker and other members. They released another album, By All Means Necessary in 1988.
In 1989, they released third album, Ghetto Music:The Blue Print of Hip-Hop. The band was disbanded in 1992. KRS decided to go solo and released his first solo album in 1993.
