Black Milk is an American Hip-Hop Singer and Producer who rose to fame via his album, Popular Demand.

About

Black Milk or "Curtis Cross" in real life was born in 1983 and raised in Detroit, Michigan. At an early age, Black realized that he had a talent for Hip-Hop especially with beats. After he bought a drum machine, he started crafting his first beat tapes by recording it in home karaoke machine.


One of his demo tapes was heard by Slum Village band, the group was impressed. They invited Black to produced their 2002 mixtape album, Dirty District. In 2006, despite his success in producing albums, Black released his first solo album, Sound of The City, Vol.1 under Music House. His next album, Popular Demand was relased on March 13, 2007 under Fat Beats Records. His next album, Caltroit was released last January 15, 2008 under Music House.

  • The album Poular Demand features guest appearances from numerous Detroit-based artists, including Slum Village's current members T3 and Elzhi and former member Baatin as well as many of Slum Village's close affiliates, most notably Guilty Simpson, Phat Kat, Que D, and One Be Lo (of Binary Star).
