The album was orinally released on July 1981 by Modern Records. It was reissued on October 25, 1990 by Wea Records. The album reached number one on U.S. Billboard Charts. It contains 10 track of songs. The album featured the hit single, Stop Draggin My Heart Around. The single chartered at number 3 on Billboard Hot 100. Other hit singles such as, Leather and Lace, Edge of Seventeen and After The Glitter Fades are included here.

  • On the day the album hit #1, Stevie learned her best friend since childhood, Robin Snyder Anderson, had been diagnosed with leukemia.
