About
R&b and pop group Bell Biv DeVoe by Michael Bivins, Ronnie De Voe, Ricky Bell and Bobby Brown in 1986. In 1998, the band released their debut single “Heart Break”. It was included the their debut album, Poison. It went all the way to #5 and is a 3x Platinum album. The album included other successful singles, “Do Me!” and “B.B.D. (I Thought it Was Me)”, “Dope!” and “When Will I See You Smile Again?”. The following year a remix follow-up album, WBBD-Bootcity!, appeared. Bivins took a break and created East Coast Family and started producing for Boyz II Men and Another Bad Creation. In 1993, Hootie Mack was released but it did not have as much success like the first attempt. In 1996, Bell Biv DeVoe reunited and began releasing their Greatest Hits (2000), BBD (2001) and The Millennium Collection (2002.
