Beautiful Garbage is Garbage's third album released on September 4, 2001. This album contains singles Breaking Up The Girl, Cherry Lips, Androgyny and Shut Your Mouth and debuted at #6 in the UK and #13 in the US.

About
Garbage third album, Beautiful Garbage (also written beautifulgarbage) was released a week before the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. Due to the tragedy, the group felt that promoting the album in interviews and tours was improper. When the group returned to the road with U2, Butch Vig contracted a case of Hepatitis-A and temporarily left the band. Furthermore, Manson lost her voice and needed to undergo surgery to remove a cyst. Although few critics considered the album to be the band's most accomplished effort, the series of events halted much of the momentum the band had achieved since 1995.

- Cherry Lips has been used for several TV advertisements including VH-1 and UK TV channel STV. Also featured on PS2 game Amplitude which was released in March of 2003. Was one of the theme songs to the WWE Divas lingerie fashion show that was dubbed the Thong-A-Thong on the TNN (now Spike TV) in 2002.
- Androgyny was used for the beautifulgarbage TV ad and came in at #44 in the 2001 Triple J Hottest 100.
