Band on The Run is the studio album of the Popular Rock Band, Wings. The album was produced by, "Paul McCartney".

About

The album was originally released on December 7, 1973 by EMI Records and was re-released on March 9, 1999 under Capitol Records. It chartered #1 on the US Album Chart and UK Albums Chart. The album became the most succesful album of Paul since the break up of his group, The Beatles. It features the hit singles, "Jet" which landed at #7 on the Billboard Pop Singles, "Helen Wheels" which reached #10 on the Billboard Pop Singles and "Band on The Run" which chartered at #1 on the Billboard Pop Singles.


In 2000 Q magazine placed Band on the Run at number 75 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever.


In 2003, the album was ranked number 418 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
