[edit] Song Meanings
- Back in Blighty Is a song about landing back in England after a spell abroad. It puts across some of the feelings that one has to come to terms with during culture shock.
- Lament for ma Banjo-case Is a spoken-word piece that describes the feelings of loss and sorrow that one gains after giving away a belonging that had sentimental value attached to it.
- Varnished (you will last forever) Is a song that luckily turns the upbeat on the loss of that previously sentimental possession. There's probably quite a bit of metaphor in it too!
- A Change is as Good as a Rest Is a song about the movement into Springtime from Winter, and some of the life-changes associated with that.
