About
While engaged with different bands in Northwest England, Christian, Mark and Stephen held jam sessions and later on formed BBMak (a combination of their respective surnames as suggested by Stephen). Then they landed a record deal with DIY Fashion. After recording a demo tape, they marched out in the streets of London to perform to various record companies nearby. Soon after, several contracts poured in after a flock of A&R representatives have witnessed the trio's performance in Liverpool. Both Telstar (UK) and Hollywood Records (US) won the bidding.
In 2000, BBMak released their platinum-selling debut Sooner Or Later under these labels. Its single Back Here achieved phenomenal success in Asia, US and UK by placing at Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 1 on Billboard Adult Contemporary charts (US) and top 5 in their homeland.
After two years of busy touring for Sooner Or Later and doing gigs with pop sensations like Britney Spears, The Corrs and *NSYNC, BBMak released their follow-up album, Into Your Head in 2002. Like their first album, this sophomore effort showcased BBMak's unique style of combined pop, rock and soul that made them famous.
