Audio Adrenaline emerged as one of the most popular Contemporary Christian Music Band in the 90's along with, Jars of Clay, Newsboys and De Talk. They spawned several albums including, Bloom.

Audio Adrenaline was formed in the late 90's at Kentucky Christian College in Greyson, Kentucky by, "Mark Stuart" on lead vocal, "Barry Blair" on guitar, "Will McGinnis" on bass, "Bob Herdman" on keyboard and "Brian Hayes" on drum. The group were originally called as "A-180". They signed a recording contract under Forefront Records on a condition that they need to change their name to Audio Adrenaline.


In 1992, they released their self-titled debut album. Their second album, Don't Censor Me was released in 1993. Their third album, Bloom was released in 1996. After the released, Barry left the band and replaced by, "Tyler Burkum". In 1997, they released the album, Some Kind of Zombie. It features the singles, "Big House", "Hands and Feet". In 1999, they issued their fifth album, Underdog.


In 2001, they released their first compilation album, Hit Parade. In that same year, they issued their sixth album, Lift and Bob left the band to became the President of a new record label, "Flicker Records". Their next album, Worldwide was released in 2003. They won their first Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel for this album. Their next album, Until My Heart Caves In was released in 2005 and they received again their second Grammy Awards. They released their last album, Adios in August 2006 before they separate ways.

  • The band's name comes from an incident in which Bob Herdman had been listening to some rather loud and fast secular music, he was so enthralled by it that he apparently exclaimed " This is like...Audi Adrenaline!".
