About
Indie rock band Arcade Fire began on 2003 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Created by a married couple, Win Butler and Regie Chassagne. Butler’s brother William Butler (precussion), Tim Kingsbury (bass), Sarah Neufeld, Jeremy Gara and Richard Parry (organ) were added to the band.
Win Butler saw Chassagne singing jazz at Concordia University where they became inseparable. From then on, Arcade Fire became larger. They were a fuse of punk, classic and bossa nova. The band started working at the studios, where tragedies arouse. Butler’s grandfather, Parry’s aunt aunt and Chassagne’s grandmother passed away continuously. In 2004, Chassagne and Win got married. Later that year, their debut album, Funeral, was issued. In 2007, Arcade Fire’s follow-up album, Neon Bible, was released.
