Aqualung which is a one-man band was known for his hit song "Strange and Beautiful" and "Brighter Than Sunshine" which was included in the movie A Lot Like Love.

One-man band, Aqualung (Matt Hales) was born on January 17, 1972 in England. At the young age of four years old, Hales began composing songs and playing the piano. At 16, he received a scholarship and began attending composition classes. He joined Life Cycle along with his brother, Ben. During the 90’s, Hales joined a group named, Ruth. In 1999, they released an album, Harrison.
In 2002, he decided to start on Aqualung. He worked with Ben Hales and wife, Kim. The single “Strange and Beautiful (I'll Put a Spell on You)” became a hit in U.K. A self-titled album was released in 2002. It was followed by Still Life the following year. The album included the single “Brighter Than Sunshine”. The single was included in the soundtrck of the film, A Lot Like Love. In 2007, Aqualung released his third album, Memory Man.

- He made his first symphony entitled "Life Cycle" when he was 17 years old. It was performed by a 60-piece orchestra with himself conducting.
