About
This girl is more beyond her beautiful face and attitude. Anna Christine Nalick or Anna Nalick was born on March 30, 1984 in Glendora, California, USA.
As a young kid, she remembers being exposed to the world of show business because of her grandparents, one of which performs in Broadway. There were lots of stories that her grandmother told her, including a performance with Fred Astaire and being part of memorable stage plays. Her grandmother passed away when she was little, but the memories and the influences still remain.
Her parents were both fans of the music scene then; she grew up listening to the songs of Elvis Presley, Everly Brothers, Cream and Led Zeppelin. Anna remembers being in class and rewriting songs, thinking about the tune and lyrics and eventually putting them all together, making her very melodies and songs. Her music had influences from the Cranberries, Tori Amos Fiona Apple and John Mayer.
With that kind of talent at a very young age, Anna started to sing with high school best buddy in a hard rock band. She remarks that she had to be angry and had to shout and scream most of the time; well, at least it was the start of her career!
In college, she continued to pursue her dream and love for music. She continued to write her own songs and putting down music for the lyrics. She used a cheap cassette recorder for her songs, not thinking that she would have a shot at the big thing. The amateur cassette recordings ended up in the hands of musical idols Christopher Thorn and Brad Smith from Anna's favorite group Blind Melon, the two is then teamed-up with Tori Amos' producer Eric Rosse. Her songs were re-recorded in a professional studio and soon, the album Wreck Of The Day set foot in the market.
Her songs had great exposure both in the radios and the music channels. Since her songs had so much depth, emotionally honest, as well as realistic, many shows had chosen some of her tracks to be part of their soundtrack. Wreck Of The Day (song) took a spot in Joan Of Arcadia and One Tree Hill. Grey's Anatomy gave a whopping 5-minute airtime to Breathe (2 AM) thus propelling the song into the airwaves and the charts as well.
A combination of talent, passion and charm is Anna's secret towards her success. She is just one of the youngest and freshest persons to watch, who knows, there may be still more up in her sleeves.

Reviews
- Her voice is as pretty as her lovely face. Her music exudes confidence and serenity in every bit of lyric she utters from her mouth. My personal favorite is Breathe (2 AM) not because it was the most popular, but because it reminds me of the scenes in my favorite TV series. Her voice does not overpower what you are watching, but instead sits into your subconscious and makes everyone dream of the songs she is singing. -Vheliefish 04:39, 6 November 2006 (PST)
