Anika Rose Moa was born on May 21, 1980 in Christchurch, New Zealand. Both a talented singer and songwriter, Anika performed in the Smokefree Rockquest competition. Shortly, the young singer signed in with Atlantic Records in New York City and Warner Music in New Zealand where she based.
In 2001, Anika released her debut album, Thinking Room. The album topped the charts and was certified a 2x Platinum. She also worked with Bic Runga and SJD. In 2005, Stolen Hill was issued. The following year, the singer had an extensive tour in New Zealand.
