Angela Via was born on December 29, 1981 in Raymondville, Texas to parents Tom Trullinger and Annie Villareal. She composed her first song when she was three years old.

When Angela was nine years, Angela together with her family moved to Gresham, Oregon. She started performing in her school and joins a church choir. In 1998, Angela won a talent show in a Portland radio station, she flew to Los Angeles and perform at the Planet Hollywood party for the movie The Wedding Singer.

In 1999, Angela signed a seven-year recording contract with Atlanta Records. She has her own track in the soundtrack of the movie Pokemon: The First Movie entitled Catch Me if You Can which sold more than two million copies in the U.S. alone.

In 2000, she released her first single Picture Perfect, it became an instant hit, but its success was not strong enough to launch her self-titled debut album. It was originally scheduled to release in June 6, 2000 but it was shelved. The album was released in 2004 when the album appeared as a digital download on RealPlayer's Music Store. In that same year, she appeared in the TV Show The Bold and The Beautiful.

In April 2006, she signed a recording contract with Virgin Record. Her first single under Virgin Record will hit the radio on March 2007 and her album Ready To Fly will be out on the early part of 2007.
