Country musician Andy Griggs was born on August 13, 1973 in Moore, Los Angeles. Andy’s father, a parole officer, led the church choir. His mother was a schoolteacher. At the age of 10 years his father suddenly died. Andy’s brother, Mason, took charge. During high school, Andy was in to sports while Mason was a vocalist in a band. His brother suddenly had a heart attack and died in his classroom at Northeast Louisiana University. While dealing with the tragic death, Andy moved to the same college and took the place of his brother in the band. He also became a youth minister.
In 1994, the band went to Nashville and signed in a record label. In 1999, the single, “She’s More” reigned at #2 and “Tonight I Wanna Be Your Man” entered the Top10 charts. The same year, Griggs released his debut album, You Won’t Ever Be Lonely freedom in 2002.
