About
And Bears, Oh My! are part of the Toledo, Ohio based Little Pocket Records collective. A small group of friends who play music together in various bands. Most notably are: The 1959 Hat Company, The Homeville Circle, And Bears, Oh My!, The Saw Had Eyes That Sea, The Melbournes, and A Little Oceanic.
The project was started in late 2006 by Kevin Clark as an outlet for some solo material. Heavily influenced by old Of Montreal records and by the music his friends were making in The 1959 Hat Company, he wrote four songs and released the homemade ep Songs For Grace from which came the single "Skip Day."
In summer of 2008, Clark decided to do a proper full length record. This time he enlisted the help of his friends from the collective. From The Carpet Bagger's Halo was released on March 7, 2009 through independent record label, Little Pocket Records. The album spawned three singles namely: "A Chance Encounter with Emily Pendalton", "A Spoonful of Regret", and "Three Cheers."
In December of 2009 And Bears, Oh My! recorded the song Tannenbaum Parade for the upcoming record Winter Holidays with Little Pocket. Tannenbaum Parade is considered the best indicator of where the music of And Bears, Oh My! will be headed in the future.
