Amel Larrieux is an R&B singer in the 90's. she has released fours albums Infinite Possibilities, Bravebird, Morning and Lovely Standards.

Amel Larrieux was born on March 8, 1973 in Manhattan, New York. Daughter to a dance critic and professor was surrounded by a creative atmosphere. In 1995, Amel’s musical career began by forming Groove Theory with Bryce Luvah (Bryce Wilson). The duo landed a contract with Epic Records releasing the single “Tell Me” and their debut album Sweetback. The single entered the Top 20 R&B Charts. In 2001, the Groove Theory officially disbanded.
In 2000, Larrieux released her debut album, Infinite Possibilities, which she co-wrote and co-produced under Epic Records. It entered the Billboard 200 and peaked at #21 in the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The singles “Get Up” and “Down” were a hit. In 2004, Bravebird was issued. It was at #5 on the Top Independent Albums. It was followed by Morning in 2006 with the lead single “Weary” and “No One Else”. “No One Else” was included in the film, Why Did I Get Married. In 2007, Lovely Standards hit record bars selling 3,700 copies on its first week of its release. She was also featured on Best of 2Pac Part 1: Thug album later that year.
