Alter Bridge is an alternative rock band formed on 2004 in Orlando, Florida. The band came from several groups combining music and talent together to become who they are today.

Alternative rock band Alter Bridge began in 2004 at Orlando, Florida. When Creed disbanded, Mark Tremonti (guitar) and Scott Phillips (drums) added Brian Marshall (bass) for a new band project.
They later on added Myles Kennedy (vocals) to the line up, an ex-member of Mayfield Four. Later that year they released the debut of Alter Bridge, One Day Remains. The issue was followed by an extensive tour in support of the album and signed with Republic Records. In 2007, Alter Bridge issued their follow-up, Blackbird, which offered a number of compositions from Kennedy.
