Trivia
- The Source recorded all of the basic tracks for All Along This Land in one day.
- Dreams was the final song recorded during the hectic day when The Source recorded all of the basic tracks for All Along This Land. A week later, during the overdubbing process, it was discovered that the band forgot to record the second verse of the song. The band chose to leave it that way.
- Lyricist Aaron Goldich chose to rewrite the lyrics to Dreams prior to recording the vocals. On the way to the studio on the morning that he intended to record the vocals for Dreams, Aaron realized that he had forgotten to write lyrics for the second verse of the song. He wrote them on the way up to the studio that morning: "I have waited far too long/And I am lost for words completely on this part; is there still time? Or is it just too late now?"

Reviews
* This is the 2006 debut CD by a young Los Angeles prog band whose surprising sound is in many ways very early-70’s retro, with elements that include early Yes, The Beatles, a little Pink Floyd and dreamy psychedelia. But beyond that, they don’t sound like anyone else today. Much of their sound derives from the low-distortion jazz and country tones favored by guitarist Harrison Leonard, similar to Peter Banks and Steve Howe. Vocalist, principal songwriter, and keyboardist Aaron Goldich favors grand piano, with some Hammond and analog synth sounds. There’s a good balance of vocal and instrumental passages, and like any good prog album, there’s a five-part suite. Charming, to say the least. - Kinesis Progressive Rock CD's review
- This album is amazing! What is even more amazing is the potential- this is the Source's first album, and look at what they are producing. I can't wait to see what comes next for this exciting band. - Merouan, via iTunes
- The cover does not lie... although the first song with its "Beatles and " feel may be a little misleading, the rest of the album falls clearly into the classic Yes tradition, big conceptual epics included. Perhaps a little too ambitious for a first album; however, if words like Relayer or Awaken mean something special to you, this album is really worth investigating. And, given the surprising youth of this band, one cannot help wondering about the future evolution of The Source. Who knows, maybe we are hearing the first steps of a future prog giant! - Jose Javier Delmas, via CD Baby
- Very, very good American 70's influenced prog. A new, young band that gives us a fresh well-played album with lots of inspiration from Genesis, Yes, ELP and Pink Floyd mainly. Very strong song writing, and highly skilled players makes this album one of the most interresting debuts for a long time. Probably the most interresting new band since Spocks Beard! RECOMMENDED - The Missing Piece, Music website
- This CD is a great album for any progressive rock fan to check out. Great lyrical content and powerful music makes it hard to turn off! Source Fan, via CD Baby
- Hard Sounds review
