Aimee Mann is a talented music singer and a songwriter. She is a veteran in the music industry and was known for her Oscar nomination for the movie Magnolia.

Aimee Mann was born on September 8, 1960 in Richmond Virginia. At the age of 12 years old, Mann got mono and was out of school for six weeks, she got his brother's guitar, Elton John songbook, Neil Young songbook and started learning. At her teens, she was influenced by Devo and Sex Pistols. Her father encouraged her to try a seven-week summer course at the Berklee School of Music in Boston.
In the 1980's, Mann was a member of a pop group, 'Til Tuesday. After releasing three album , she left the band to pursue her solo career. In 1993, she released her solo-debut album, Whatever. It received a positive review. In 1995, the single "That's Just What You Are" was a hit and was included in the soundtrack of the tv series Melrose Place. Before the release of Mann's second album, her record label, Imago, filed for bankruptcy. She signed in with Reprise Records but Imago was in her way stopping Mann from releasing any singles. The rest of that year, she battled with Imago and won her independence in the end. Mann then signed with DGC Records, they released her follow-up album, I'm With Stupid.
In 2000, Aimee Mann released "Save Me". The single was nominated for an Academy Award. In 2002, she returned with the album, Lost In Space. In 2006, Mann released the album, Forgotten Arm, which was inspired from drug addicted Vietnamese boxer. Later that year, she also released her first christmas album, One More Drifter In The Snow.
