After_the_Ark is a one piece instrumental/experimental band led by Donovan Butts. He has mastered two things - how to reach a very broad audience and how to make them never want to unplug their headphones.
His musical creations are a fine melting pot of busy, yet rhythmic sounds you may hear on a crowded street, simple, yet crisp as the crumbling of notebook paper, and elegant, yet chaotic as the song climaxes, evaporates, and leaves the listener in a state of longing for another track…or at least to meet the person who created music out of sounds that his audience often takes for granted.
