Aerial was released on November 08, 2005 under Columbia Records. The album peaked no.3 on the U.K. chart. The album is mix of folk, jazz, progressive rock, Renaissance, classical, and world music. It was also nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist and Best British Album. The single in the album "King of the Mountain" reached no.4 in U.K. singles. The album has sold more than 1.1 million copies worldwide.
