500 Degreez is a 2002 album of American, Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Wayne. The album was Lil Wayne's first and only gold album to date.

About

500 Degreez was released on July 5, 2002 by Cash Money Records. The gangsta rap album was named after Juvenile's "400 Degreez" album which Lil Wayne had later stated that hew was going to do better than him.

The album was spearheaded by its hit single "Way of Life" featuring Big Tymers and TQ that top the Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 71, the Billboard Hot R&B chart at number 68, and the Billboard Hot Rap at number 16.

The album went on to sale 501,000 copies in the U.S. and 900,000 copies worldwide. Not even half of Juvenile's 400 Degreez LP and also Lil Wayne first and only certified gold album to date.
